Joanne’s passion is to coach women through health decisions, to act as an advisor and mentor, working in conjunction with General Practitioners (GPs) and specialists to restore & optimise health and wellness. As a physiotherapist Joanne works with ACC injuries and expert skills in tension headache and women’s health.
Joanne has a hands on approach using deep tissue massage, acupuncture, cupping, manipulation, myofascial release coupled with tailored exercise prescription to get the best results for her clients.
Joanne works with chronic pain, arthritis and autoimmune conditions offering holistic approach to treatment.

Joanne thrives on education and this extends outside the clinic into the community. She leads small group education sessions such as post-natal group visits and men’s and Women’s Pilates classes and corporate wellness seminars. Evidence-based practice and working in collaboration with other professionals is the key to achieving fast results. I spent 2021 working in healthcare management and prior to this working in pain management. I am confident supporting individuals to balance career, family and wellness goals.
Anke, qualified as a physiotherapist in Pretoria, South Africa. I have over close to 15 years’ experience working on neuromuscular function. I am trained as a concussion therapist and have done extensive training in movement analysis and improvement.
Throughout my training and career, I have enjoyed making a difference in people’s lives. I believe in providing a high level of clinical service, keeping up to date with research and professional development to provide the best evidence for my practice. I believe that every client has specific needs and I tailor my therapy to each individual. I work with compassion and empathy and believe in treating the person as a whole to obtain the best & long lasting results.
Over the span of my career, I have worked with a wide variety of conditions, most treatment has focused on the serious injury realm. This includes working with people with disabilities but also people who have suffered multiple fractures or muscular injuries. Among these skills I also practise, movement analysis and analysing musculoskeletal problems. An area of expertise is Vestibular (dizziness assessment & treatment) and concussion rehab. Massage, dry needling and coaching others are other modalities I use enable people to return to maximal function.
Outside of work, I have a young family and I spend most of my time on our lifestyle block or out in nature. We grow much of our own food, tend to our stock and exercise by walking, running, swimming or cycling. I enjoy challenging myself daily to become a better version of myself.
