Physiotherapists Joanne & Anke have over 15 years of experience working in their different areas of expertise. Appointment times are usually 45 mins to 1 hour as we believe in quality face to face time with clients covering a range of modalities such as patient education, assessment, explanations, hands-on treatment, exercise advice and a recovery plan. An integrated and holistic approach is our standard as clients are invited to experience the wider range of services within Resilience Room.
Physio
At Resilience Room, I can utilise many physical techniques to help you get a better connected, aligned body and posture. This can be done using techniques such as MET, joint work, stretching, primitive reflex assessment and western acupuncture and exercise prescription. Bodywork is a hands-on approach to an injury or complaint and includes assessment, diagnoses, education, goal setting and often accompanied with exercise prescription. Bodywork can induce any number of hands-on techniques and can be tailored to a 30–60-minute session.
Re-define with postural assessments – runners and everyone
Postural analysis and muscle balance assessments can point out faulty movement patterns and poor technique. Assessments are useful when you get recurrent injury or persistent pain. Muscles can be individually assessed and analysed in functional movement patterns, to determine which areas need work.
Different phases of the gait pattern require different muscle co-contraction and postural control. Through thorough analysis, these can be identified, then addressed through a personalised exercise plan. Within weeks you’ll notice the difference next time you’re out walking or running the dog.
Getting the right equipment to support your body can make all the difference. Ask me about footwear, orthotics and pillows.
