Retreat Terms and Conditions

Payment Options

To pay for a Resilience Room retreat, you can use the following options:

Reserving your place on a retreat

A $100 deposit, or full payment is required to reserve your place on any retreat. This deposit can be paid using any of the options listed above. Please note this deposit in non-refundable where cancellation of attendance is made less than 30 days prior to the retreat start date.

The balance of the retreat cost must be paid 30 days prior to the retreat start date.

 

Cancellation of Attendance

We understand that sometimes life throws you a curve ball and for some reason you may not be able to attend the retreat.

Please note that the retreat deposit is non-refundable if cancellation is made 30 days or less prior to the retreat start date.
If you need to leave once the retreat has started, for reasons beyond your or our control, such as illness, family illness, etc., bookings are non-cancellable and non-refundable. We may however infrequently be forced to cancel retreats in circumstances out of our control. Any notice of retreat cancellation by the retreat provider will be made before the balance of the retreat is due (30 days prior to the retreat start date). Resilience Room will not be liable for any flights, accommodation or other expenses incurred due to the cancellation of a retreat.

 

 

The Resilience Room Guests Retreat Release of Liability

Please read carefully
In consideration of the services provided by Resilience Room and their respective agents, employees, directors, officers, contractors, volunteers (collectively the “Resilience Room Team”), in connection with participants’ participation in the Resilience Room retreats live-in retreat program (“the program”), I as a participant, agree as follows:

  • I am familiar with the Resilience Room retreats program and the activities that will be undertaken.
  • I have been given the opportunity to ask questions about those activities, and those questions have been answered to my satisfaction.
  • I understand that participation in the program creates a risk of injury and I expressly acknowledge and assume the risk of such injury to the participant. The sum of the risks associated with the activities on the program include, but are not limited to, sunburn, dehydration, exhaustion, slipping and falling, sprains and strains, and other mild or serious injuries and conditions.
  • I agree that this description of risks is not complete, and that unknown or unanticipated risks may result in property loss, injury or death.
  • I understand that the unique character of this program is to serve participants who are potentially overweight, medically fragile and/or high risk.
  • I agree that I have been given sufficient opportunity to discuss the program and its risks with a medical practitioner, if required.
  • I confirm that I am fully capable of participating in this program. Therefore, I assume and accept full responsibility and assume the risk of and for any injury, death, loss of personal property, and/or expenses that may result from my participation in this program, and I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Resilience Room Team, and to the fullest extent of the law, from any and all claims, damages, losses, or liability that may result form my participation in the Program.

 

 

Food allergies and Allergies Notification, Acknowledgement, and Release of Liability

An environment free from allergens, including but not limited to food allergens, cannot be guaranteed by Resilience Room. While reasonable efforts will be made to serve food not containing allergens as ingredients, Resilience Room retreats, or its contractors, prepares meals in a facility that uses nuts, soy, wheat, and other known allergens. Therefore, the Resilience Room Team cannot guarantee that any particular food product is free of all traced of any particular allergen, that consumption of a food product, where allergies exist, will not result in some form of allergic reaction, or that the Participant will not come into contact with any allergens while on the program. The undersigned acknowledges that agrees that they are aware of such risks and that participation in the program will expose the Participant to food, activities and persons that may result in exposure to allergens and injury, in that regard, and assuming such risks, the undersigned hereby fully releases and discharges the Resilience Room Team from any and all liability and/or responsibility to the Participant, the undersigned, or any third party for death and/or injuries to the Participant, and/or any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, or any damages that arise out of or relate to the Participant’s participation in the program and/or exposure to food allergens.

 

Damage to Property

The release of liability also covers damage to the property of the participant, Resilience Room, retreat venue, or other contractors’ property by the participant, either intentionally, or unintentionally. The participant agrees that they discharge Resilience Room, its owners, and principals against any charges for damage incurred or damage to the property of other participants, contractors, or retreat venue by the participant, either intentionally or unintentionally.

 

Physical Activities while on Retreat

The release of liability also covers participation in any physical activity offered by Resilience Room or it’s respective agents, employees, directors, officers, contractors, or volunteers. I understand that certain elements of the Program are physically demanding and that I should only participate if I am free of medical or physical conditions which might create undue risk to myself or other participants. I acknowledge that I am free from such conditions and I am aware that these activities involve potential for injury to myself and/or my property. To the extent that I participate in such activities, I do so voluntarily, and I assume full responsibility for any loss, and/or inconvenience resulting from my participation. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Resilience Room Team from any and all liability incurred as a result of my participation. I also agree that this release of liability shall serve as a complete legal release and assumption of risk from others acting on my behalf.

 

Promotional Photo Release

One of the best ways to communicate the effectiveness of our programmes is through photographs, video, and testimonials from/of our program participants. We may use these in our brochures, newsletters, and on our website. I agree that photographs taken of me or other material, excluding personal information and health history, shall become property of and may be used by Resilience Room at its discretion, for any publicity or marketing purposes, and I hereby consent and authorise such use without restriction.

 

 

By transacting with us you agree to the above and the following conditions and releases of liability:

  • I agree that I have had the opportunity to see a medical practitioner about the risks involved with undertaking this program, if required.
  • I agree that I have made the Resilience Room aware of all relevant medical conditions and/or concerns which may affect my ability to participate in the activities on the program.
  • I agree that I have made that Resilience Room aware of all allergies, food or otherwise, which may affect my ability to consume certain foods and/or undertake certain activities on the program.
  • I agree that I give full release of any photos or videos taken during the retreat for use in promotional material purposes.
  • I have read and accept these releases of liability and the retreat terms and conditions.
